The Rules.

Post  Admin on Mon Oct 13, 2008 12:55 pm

DON'T BE A COCK!

That should be the only rule we need here at the guild. We're all here to learn, to improve our writing and to help other people improve theirs. Nobody wants to hear 'that was shit', not about their work or anyone elses so do play nice and we'll all have a good time. Smile If not, offensive comments will simply be deleted and the user will both be banned and given many a dirty look at the next meeting.

Aside from that the forum should be self explanatory. Post anything you want comments on (or even work you simply want to share) in the relevant section by starting a new thread. Anyone who wishes to give constructive criticism, or even flows of praise, then just needs to reply to the appropriate thread.

The General Discussion forum should be useful for all of those writing tips have that could help others. For example any up and comming competitions you feel maybe suitable, any books or guides you have found useful or even simply any writing prompts or other general encouragement. Post it all in here and it should prove to be a useful resource.

Finally there is the annonymous section. Every so often everyone writes something that they're a little embarassed to share for one reason or another. It may be that the subject matter is controversial, written in a style they don't normally try or simply a piece of work about a personal part of their lives. If you have a piece of work like this and you want feedback then the annonymous section will be open to post in without the need of logging into an account. This means that there will be no user name and the only identifying information will be any you choose to divulge. PLEASE NOTE: The one rule of the Guild will be strictly enforced here. Please take care to be as constructive as possible when commenting upon anything you find in this section.

I think that should cover anything. If there is anything else you wish to know, or any comments on how to improve the forum, please feel free to PM me or to mention it on the facebook group or at the next meeting.
